Accessories for the Accu-Sled II Carriages
L-Brackets
There are currently three sizes of the L-Brackets for the Accu-Sled II. All of these L-Brackets are constructed from 3/8" thick aluminum angle. The L-Brackets have two 0.25" diameter holes on the 4" long by 2" wide base that are used to mount them to the Accu-Sled II plate with two 1/4" by 20 tpi screws with brass keys. Available upright arms are 3", 4" and 6" tall for the mounting of different size sacrificial fences and boards. On the upright arm of the L-brackets are two or three additional holes that are used to mount your project or a sacrificial fence. The mounting hardware is not included with these L-brackets and must be ordered separately - see below. |
Part # AS643 - 4" x 3" L-Bracket. The base arm of this L-bracket is 4" long to mount it to the Accu-Sled II with the 1/4" x 20 tpi screws and brass keys. The upright arm is 3" tall. These brackets are also constructed from 3/8" thick aluminum. We prefer this L-Bracket for slicing the thinner boards that we normally cut in our shops when making projects such as our dizzy bowls.
These brackets are normally used to slice boards from 1" to 4" tall. |
Part # AS644 - 4" x 4" L-Bracket. Both arms of this L-Bracket are 4" long. They are constructed from 3/8" thick aluminum. There L-Brackets are preferred for slicing wider boards such as guitar sides and backs. You can mount a 6" wide sacrificial fence to these L-Brackets for slicing these wider boards.
These brackets are normally used to slice boards form 3" to 6" tall. |
Part # AS646 - 4" x 6" L-Bracket. The base arm of this L-bracket is 4" long to mount it to the Accu-Sled II carriage. The upright arm is 6" tall. They are constructed from 3/8" thick aluminum. You can mount a 7" to 12" wide sacrificial fence to these L-Brackets for slicing these wider boards.

The Flat Plate Clamp for the Accu-Sled II is used to clamp a 1.5" sacrificial fence to the Accu-Sled top plate. This setup is used to slice shorter boards - 0.25" to 2.0" tall. This aluminum Flat Plate Clamp plate measures 2" wide by 4.75" long by 1/4" thick. It contains three 1/4" diameter holes for 1/4" x 20 tpi bolts to mount this plate in the the three tapped holes in the Accu-Sled II plate. Two additional holes on the end of the plate are used to attach the 1.5" tall sacrificial fence. Then the boards are glued to the sacrificial fence for subsequent cutting on the Accu-slice system. Each Flat Plate Clamp unit consists of one of the Flat Plate Clamp, two 1/4" x 20 tpi x 5/8" long screws and two #8 x 1" long particle board screws. You will require 1 set of the following hardware packages for each L-Bracket |
Additional Hardware
Part # AS649 - #8 x 1" long Particle Board Screws, pkg of 10 - On the upright arms of the L-Brackets are two or three holes for mounting a sacrificial fence. To mount this fence or other object the following screws are used. This is a package of ten #8 by 1" long Particle Board Screws. These screws fit the holes in the L-Bracket upright arms and can be used to attach a 3/4" thick particle board sacrificial fence to the L-Brackets. |
Part # AS610 - Handle for the Accu-Sled - This phenolic handle contains a 1/4" x 20 tpi stud that will screw into one of the tapped holes in the Accu-Sled. It can be used on both the Accu-Sled and the Accu-Sled II. It is normally used to push the sled along the rail and through the bandsaw, keeping your hands further removed from the band saw blade.
