This video describes the production of a miniature Dizzy Egg and a miniature Double Dizzy Bowl from the thin laminate boards that were described in our previous video. A 3.0 inch wide laminate board was constructed from thin boards that were between 0.010" and 0.040" thick. A total of 99 wood strips were used to construct the 3" wide laminate board. From this 99 layer laminate board the discs were sliced and then re-glued back together to produce the miniature dizzy bowl projects.
Production of the Miniature Double Dizzy Bowl and Dizzy Egg

This video describes the production of a matched wood set (sold individually) consisting of a miniature Dizzy Egg (4" Tall) and a miniature Double Dizzy Bowl (6" Tall) from the thin laminate boards. A 3.0 inch wide laminate board was constructed from thin boards that were between 0.010" and 0.040" thick. A total of 99 wood strips were used to construct the 3" wide laminate board. From this 99 layer laminate board the discs were sliced and then re-glued back together to produce the miniature dizzy bowl projects. These are two of the finest dizzy productions that I have completed to date. |

Miniature Double Dizzy Bowl
(ART027 - $1,000.00) This is my favorite of the double Dizzy Bowls. It is only 6" tall, each of the layers is 0.075" thick and in total it contains more than 13,000 wood surface exposures on its outer surface. Miniature Dizzy Egg
(ART008 - $750.00) This Miniature Dizzy Egg is 4" tall, each of the layers is 0.075" thick and in total it consists of more than 9,000 wood surface exposures on its outer surface. The top and bottom of the egg were made from a 12 segment Katalox disc, with each of the 12 segments going to a perfect point in the center of the disc. |
