This is a set of three Dizzy Bells. Each bell is 4" tall by 4" in diameter. The Dizzy patter contains 45 layers with 87 pieces of wood in each layer which equates to over 7,000 wood exposures on the outer surface. The top and bottom sections contain 24 and 48 segment rings.

The Dizzy Glue-Jig was used to accurately align and glue the laminated layers to produce these Dizzy Pattern Bells.

This video describes the production of 3 Dizzy Pattern Christmas Tree Bells. We describe how the dizzy patterns are created starting with a laminate board. Form this laminate board, 4” diameter round discs are cut on a band saw. From these 1.75” discs, 0.050” thick discs are sliced on the band saw and then arranged into a dizzy pattern. We also describe the production of the segmented discs for the bottom and top of the bells using the Accu-Wedge System. Finally, the bell components are glued together and turned on the lathe.

Fifteen different varieties of wood were used in the construction of the bells. This Dizzy Bell contains 48 segment alternating Padauk and Maple rings on its base.
