Automated Accu-Slice System
The Automated Accu-Slice System is still currently in development and will not be available as a product for sales for several months. We have produced a total of 8 videos describing the design and development of the Automated Accu-Slice system. But we still need to do a lot of testing, some redesign of some of the components and a lot of continued development of the software. We expect to spend most of this year (2021) doing this continued development. However we are offering several of the components of the system for anyone who wants to make their own version. Additional parts will be made available based on customer inquiries and demand.

The Arduino software that I have written to control the Automated Accu-Slice System is still under development but the latest version is available at no charge for anyone who wants a copy to use or modify for their own application.

Auto Feed Mechanism by Don Scott
I can control the speed fairly easily. Six turns of the crank feeds an inch, so one turn a second makes 10 inches per minute. One turn in 2 seconds makes 5 inches per minute. It gives me a way to have a consistent feed through the material which was difficult when feeding by hand. I use a Laguna Resaw King blade (carbide tipped) at 3 tpi. I get a finish smooth enough on segments to glue without sanding. See attached picture on cherry, walnut and maple. |
