The Accu-Sled is a flat plate carriage that rides on the Accu-Slice rail. It contains a number of T-Slots and 1/4" x 20 tpi tapped holes for custom applications by the user. The top plate is a 12" long by 10" wide by 0.5" thick anodized aluminum plate. Four roller bearings on the base of the plate ride on the Accu-Slice rail. This unit can be used to enable the user to do other applications in the cutting of wood on the band saw using the capabilities of the Accu-Slice Index Table and Rail. We have used it in our shops to develop custom jigs such as the Accu-Slot. This unit does not include any clamps or mounting accessories. Fences and clamps are sold separately.
This product has been discontinued due to low volume sales and the high cost of manufacturing. It may be available in the future if we receive a significant number of requests.

The Accu-Sled II is a flat plate carriage with 4 roller bearings on its base that ride the Accu-Slice rail. The flat plate top contains a number of T-Slots and ¼” x 20 tpi tapped holes for the attachment of clamps, screws, and custom mounting accessories. Optional brackets of various sizes are available that can be mounted to the plate for various applications or you can make your own brackets or adaptors for custom applications. This unit can be used to enable the user to perform other applications of cutting wood on the band saw using the capabilities of the Accu-Slice Index table and rail. |

Accu-Sled Fence Kit - Part Number ASFKIT

The Accu-Sled Fence was developed to enable the slicing of boards using the Accu-Sled carriage on the band saw. It was originally developed to enable the slicing of angles of 5 degrees to 20 degrees on laminated boards for making some of the angled laminated scales for some unique knife handles shown in several of our videos on making handles for knives. However it has many other applications, such as slicing 90 degree or perpendicular cuts on boards.
The Accu-Sled fence consists of a 12" long rail tat is attached to the Accu-Sled top plate with two L-Bracket clamps. The clamps are mounted to the Accu-Sled table via two brass keys that slide in the T-channel on the Accu-Sled table top. These sliding brass keys enable the easy adjustment of the rail to any angle on the Accu-Slet table. Also included with the Accy-Sled Fence are two of our clamps with tightening knobs. These clamps are used to clamp the board you are cutting to the Accu-Sled table. Also included with the kit are two handles that attach to the Accu-Sled table top by mounting in the T-Slot channels.
The picture on the left shows all the components of the Accu-Sled Kit. The picture in the center demonstrated the Accu-Sled Kit attached to the Accu-Sled table and the picture on the far right demonstraets the System in operation on the band saw cutting a 10 degree angle on a board.

Accu-Sled Dust Shield - Part # AS925
The Accu-Facet Dust Shield mounts on the bottom of the Accu-sled and was developed to minimize the dust buildup on the roller bearings on the Accu-Slice system. When operating the Accu-Slice system with the Accu-Sled we have encountered a significant amount of sawdust building up in the rail channel and on the roller bearings. This buildup occurs very rapidly and restricts the smooth movement of the sled on the rail. If the sawdust is not frequently cleaned from the roller bearings, permanent damage can occur to the polycarbonate sleeves on the roller bearings and require their replacement. This dust shield completely surrounds the roller bearings and prevents more than 90% of the dust build up on the rollers. The dust shield is 18" long. It is constructed from a 4 sided aluminum cylinder with caps on both ends of the tube. Slots have been machined into the aluminum cylinder to encompass the roller bearings. It mounts to the dust shield with two 1/4" x 20 tpi screws that attach the square tube to the bottom of the Accu-Sled. The Accu-Sled Dust Shield includes the square aluminum tube with 2 plastic caps and two 1/4' x 20 tpi mounting screws. |

Part # AS610 - Handle for the Accu-Sled - This phenolic handle contains a 1/4" x 20 tpi stud that will screw into one of the tapped holes in the Accu-Sled. It can be used on both the Accu-Sled and the Accu-Sled II. It is normally used to push the sled along the rail and through the bandsaw, keeping your hands further removed from the band saw blade.
