GlueJig System - AS700
The “GlueJig” was developed for gluing together thin strips of wood that were cut with the Accu-Slice System. These glued strips are used for feature strips in woodturning projects as well as the laminated boards for the “Dizzy” bowl projects.
The “GlueJig” consists of two aluminum angle irons (2” x 2” x 35”), five slotted aluminum rails (2.5” x 12”) and an MDF mounting board (12” x 35”). The back angle iron is mounted to the rails with screws and the front angle iron slides on the rails via two or more 2” long brass T slot guides with clamps. These guides prevent the angle iron from tilting up when the clamps are applied.
After glue has been applied to the wood strips, they are placed into the “GlueJig” in a cradle of wax paper so the system is kept clean. The glued strips are then clamped using either spring clamps, C-Clamps or parallel clamps (clamps are not included with the “GlueJig).
